Stanisław D. Głazek – is a professor in the Institute of Theoretical Physics in the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw and an author of close to a 100 original articles on physics, mainly on the theory of interactions of elementary particles. Together with Kenneth G. Wilson, the Nobel laureate for physics in 1982, he formulated a method for the renormalization of Hamiltonians in quantum field theory. Professor Głazek worked at universities in Germany and the US, received a stipend from the Polish-American Fulbright Commission and from the MacArthur Foundation. He is an author of articles on education and a co-author with Seymour B. Sarason of the book Productive Learning: Science, Art and Einstein’s Relativity in Educational Reform.
