Digital Industry. How New Technologies Change the World
The publication describes the changes related to digital transformation in the functioning of the markets, production, consumption, work and the new generation state from the perspective of economics and sociology.
Starting with the definition of “industry 4.0”, which encompasses artificial intelligence, Big Data, the Internet of Things, advanced algorithms, automatization and machine to machine communication, the authors outline the main fields of digital industry. They discuss the specificity of the new network business model and emphasise the influence of platformization and automatization on consumption and the job market and on changes in the functioning of states, resulting from the implementation of new technologies.
