A Sign Language Interpreter. Who Was He? Who Is He? Who Will He Be?
A unique publication on the Polish publishing market, it is the first collection of texts devoted exclusively to sign language translation. The authors of the articles refer to the changes which have taken place within the last ten years, sharing their knowledge, professional expertise, observations and research results. The immense value of the book lies in providing different perspectives from which Polish sign language translation is discussed: hearing people and deaf specialists, interpreters and sign language researchers and the translation itself. It is a historical record of the early stage of the development of sign language translation in Poland.
