The Family Determinants of Creativity
The publication explores the influence of various family background aspects on the formation of the human creative attitude. The original reflection on the issue, based on the authors’ research, is preceded by the presentation of the current state of knowledge. The part of the book devoted to quality research uses the authors’ horizontal analysis modelled on methods employed in literary criticism.
On the basis of the obtained results, interpreted in the light of selected psychological concepts, the authors propose an integrated model of interdependencies between the level of individual creativity, characteristics of the family system, parenting styles and the three types of creative identities (a family hero, a lone wanderer, a rebel).
