Gender, Pleasure and Violence. The Construction of Expert Knowledge of Sexuality in Poland
The anthropological analysis of the expert discourse of the last 40 years concerning the development of sexology in Poland. The author focuses on two aspects of sexuality: pleasure (conditions to achieve it) and violence (seeking justice in court by rape victims). Furthermore, she examines gender roles and the impact of transformations that these roles underwent on sexuality, as well as the influence of feminism on the issues discussed.
