This issue focuses mainly on research conducted at the excavation site of the ancient defensive fort of Novae, located in the former Roman province of Moesia Inferior (Pametnicite, northern Bulgaria). The articles present the history of the fort during the reigns of Emperors Alexander Severus, Valentinian I and Valens, and describe archaeological finds such as coins, inscribed roof tiles, and fragments of everyday objects (a silver mouse figurine, a ludus latrunculorum game board). In addition, several works focus on underwater research technology in the vicinity of the ancient port of Ptolemais (Libya), the geological evolution of the island of Bisericuta (Romania), the circumstances surrounding the emergence of the Cherniakhiv culture in Olbia (Crimean Peninsula) and Latin inscriptions on roof tiles from Risinum (Montenegro).
