The Moral Reading of the Law. Ronald Dworkin's Philosophy of Law and Philosophy of Politics

The publication aims to show the versatility of Ronald Dworkin's philosophy of law. Dworkin is remembered by representatives of jurisprudence, as well as judges, as an uncompromising critic of contemporary legal positivism and other key standpoints. He did not limit himself to criticizing the formalism of judges and reducing the palette of arguments used to justify court decisions, but he himself proposed original solutions to key issues and practices, such as judicial reasoning, the role of the political community in a society divided into competing “tribes”, and the role of the idea of justice and fairness.

Keywords: Ronald Dworkin, philosophy of law, integral theory of law, moral reading of the constitution
