'Pro Georgia. Journal of Kartvelological Studies' has an established position in the international field of Caucasian studies. It is recognized as a leading journal in Kartvelological research and the dissemination of its results. Its unique role and status were confirmed by the International Congress of Kartvelologists, which convened in Tbilisi and devoted an entire session to 'Pro Georgia' on the occasion of the journal’s 20th anniversary.

The International Editorial Board, which oversees the journal’s content, includes distinguished scholars from Poland, Georgia, France, Spain, Japan, and Germany. Information about 'Pro Georgia' is available in international scientific journal databases, and its annual volumes are held in the world’s most prestigious libraries. The journal is the most frequently cited periodical in the field of Kartvelian studies. Articles published in the thirty-five volumes to date have become part of the scholarly canon and are regularly cited by researchers around the world. The contributors to Pro Georgia include many internationally renowned academics.

'Pro Georgia' serves as a forum that unites Polish Kartvelologists and Caucasus scholars, while also providing a platform for collaboration with researchers from related disciplines. Virtually the entire body of modern Polish Kartvelology, which began to develop almost from scratch after 1991, has grown largely thanks to the journal’s activity. Pro Georgia continues to function as a vibrant academic forum for presenting research results, conducting scholarly debates, publishing reviews, exchanging methodological insights, inspiring new research directions, and identifying potential archival sources.

Since 2010, the editorial board of 'Pro Georgia' has also awarded the Saint Grigol Peradze International Scientific Award.
