Publikacja jest pierwszym tomem serii posthumanistycznych monografii wieloautorskich Wokół jednego (u)tworu. Rozmowy Centrum Humanistyki Środowiskowej. Zawiera transkrypcje interdyscyplinarnych i międzydziedzinowych rozmów przeprowadzonych przez redaktorkę naukową w ciągu roku kalendarzowego 2025. Formuła debaty/rozmowy, będąca bodajże najstarszą formą uprawiania nauki, jest wyjątkowa na tle współczesnych monografii naukowych. Zapewnia dynamiczną konfrontację i/lub uzupełnianie się perspektyw oraz naświetlenie szerokich kontekstów: zaproszeni goście i gościnie reprezentują bowiem różne dziedziny nauki i różne aktywności. Każda z rozmów toczy się wokół jednego wytworu kultury związanego z szeroko pojętą problematyką środowiskową i/lub pozaludzką. Zarazem każdy wytwór kultury staje się pretekstem do eksplorowania szerszej sieci kwestii kulturowych, społecznych i politycznych, na przecięciu których został wytworzony.

Around a Single (Re)creation: Conversations of the Environmental Humanities Center

This publication is the first volume in a series of posthumanist collective monographs entitled Around a Single (Re)creation: Conversations of the Environmental Humanities Center. It contains transcripts of interdisciplinary and cross-field conversations conducted by its editor during the calendar year 2025. The debate/conversation format, which is arguably the oldest form of scholarly enquiry, sets the book apart from contemporary academic monographs. It facilitates a dynamic confrontation and/or complementarity of perspectives and sheds light on broader contexts, as the invited guests represent various fields of scholarship and a range of practices. Each conversation centers on a single cultural creation linked to environmental and/or non-human issues in the broadest sense. At the same time, each cultural creation serves as a pretext for exploring the wider web of cultural, social and political issues at the intersection of which it was created.
