Sociology of Work – New Versions
The publication is an overview of discussions, research and trends in contemporary sociology of work, presented by Polish sociologists. It has been written with the intention of introducing the topic of research on the world of work in an accessible way and in relation to current topics and problems such as job insecurity, migration, industrial conflicts, platform work, diversity of the world of work, and debates on the future of work. Every thematic chapter contains an overview of debates on the given subject in Polish and international subject literature, and subsequently brings closer the connection between the case study presented in the text and the major problems in contemporary world of work. The conclusions of the texts are presented in a form useful for students. Each text is accompanied by several questions or exercises related to the content of the chapter, which can be used during classes.
