Acta Albaruthenica

‘Acta Albaruthenica’ is the academic journal of the Department of Belarusian and Ruthenian Studies at the University of Warsaw. It has been published since 1998. The works presented in the journal cover topics within the broadly defined field of Belarusian and Ruthenian studies. The articles focus on issues in literary studies, linguistics and cultural studies. Individual volumes also contain reviews, discussions and reports. The authors of the publications are researchers from various academic centres in Poland and abroad (Belarus, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Germany and others). The publications appear in Polish, Belarusian and English. ‘Acta Albaruthenica’, as a journal of Belarusian and Ruthenian studies, is published by the oldest department of Belarusian and Ruthenian studies in Poland (the Department of Belarusian and Ruthenian Studies at the University of Warsaw was established in 1956), which boasts the longest tradition of publishing on this subject.

In accordance with the announcement by the Minister of Science dated 5 January 2024 regarding the list of academic journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences , the journal is included in the new list with a score of 20 points.
