An Architect and an Official in the Russian Service. Antoni Jabłoński Jasieńczyk (1854–1918)
The book does not only attempt to reconstruct the architectural and theoretical oeuvre of Antoni Jabłoński, but it also explores how Jasieńczyk, who spent his whole professional life working for Russian state institutions, operated in his Warsaw environment. Jasieńczyk’s most important architectural projects, including the buildings of the University of Warsaw Library, the Anatomopathological Institute and the Main Post Office in Warsaw were commissioned by state institutions.
