Enterprise finance management – theory and practice
Running a business in today’s world is both an art and a challenge. This publication aims to familiarize students and those who deal or will deal with the issues of the finances of business entities with the topics in this area in both theoretical and practical aspects. We also recommend it for those running or intending to run their own business. It will allow them to learn more about the world of finance, reduce the effects of emerging crisis risks and take advantage of the many development opportunities that may accompany them.
Many examples and tasks support the theoretical considerations, which makes the book attractive to those who want to see the connection between theory and practice. It places emphasis on issues such as the essence of corporate finance, sources of capital, risk management, assessment of the financial position of the company, break-even analysis and financial and operating leverage, investment decisions, as well as mergers and acquisitions of companies. A great deal of attention in the monograph is devoted to issues that are currently very important in the context of measuring the effects of COVID-19, i.e. risk-taking, which is inevitably associated with management in business.
