Optimizing the Editing of Overview Maps Using Artificial Intelligence
The publication focuses on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in editing overview maps. The author discusses the results of the work carried out under her leadership, which have shown great possibilities of using modern technologies in the process of cartographic generalization of selected objects on maps, e.g. selection of locations, roads and rivers. The presented research is one of the pioneers in the national field and one of the few international projects that systematically examine the AI potential in editing maps.
