Evaluation of Integrated Textbooks for Early Education. Adults’ Perspective Education Studies Series
The author analyses the most popular integrated textbooks for the 1st–3rd grade primary school students with regard to developing language, mathematical and natural sciences skills of children. The research results are compared with the real development needs of students. The author proves that a textbook should provide only an overview of the most important subject matter, and it should refer students to other teaching aids, including modern media aids. It is indicated that the authors of educational packages must place great emphasis on engaging problem-solving, divergent and creative tasks.
