"Pro Georgia" – the yearly academic Journal published since 1991, which in the course of these thirty-two years has become one of the most serious and also one of the few scientific journals devoted to the broadly understood Karvelological (Georgian) and Caucasian issues not only in Poland, but in the rest of Europe.
The journal has already made a great contribution and in many fields, especially in the presentation of research on the history and culture of the Caucasus. On the one hand, it unites representatives of various disciplines and specialities around the problems of the Carvelology and the Caucasus; on the other hand, it is currently the most well-known and recognised forum for the exchange of ideas and presentation of research for scholars not only from Poland, but also from abroad. Historians, art and literature historians, linguists, ethnologists and archaeologists contribute their texts to "Pro Georgia".
Already 33 volumes have been published. The studies included in them have already become classics, a reference point for every serious cartvellologist - they are the canon of reading for all serious monographs and studies. At the same time, they constitute a lasting legacy of Polish humanistic thought, referring to the best traditions represented by old Polish scientific writing.
