The issue consists of articles on socio-political issues, including the determinants of group identity in multi-ethnic Darfur. They also present characteristics of female criminal behaviour based on contemporary Nigerian literature. Linguistic and cultural references, in their turn, are analysed on the basis of Chichewa political texts, Bemba religious texts, and Hausa hip-hop culture texts. Linguistic articles deal with a comparison of the Fula and Wolof number systems and the phonological adaptation of Arabic names in Atebubu (Ghana).
