The Book about Kultura
The book about Kultura (Culture) is a selection of the most important texts of Andrzej Mencwel, about the phenomenon of the Kultura monthly and its significance in Polish and world’s culture. The texts, written in the last decades, have been reviewed and re-edited. The publication consists of three parts: Studium sukcesu. Przykład „Kultury” (1946-1956) (Study of Success. An Example of Kultura, 1946-1956), Świadectwa (Testimonies) (here, among others, the letters of Jerzy Giedroyc and an interview with him), Nadal aktualne (Still Up-to-date). The foreword was written by Krzysztof Pomian.
