The Uncertainty of the Phenomenon. Phenomenology in the Horizons of Modernity
The phenomenology referred to in this book juxtaposes universal claims of reason with what transcends its boundaries: infinity, uncertainty, fragility, multiplicity, unpredictability of modern experiences. It is the phenomenology, which – contrary to Husserl’s transcendental idealism – does not seek to bring out the invariant essence of the appearing thing, but which reveals these uncertainties and fragility characterizing the position of modern man, it is more open to the complexity of this position and its actual dimension.
Keywords: aesthetics, contemporary phenomenology, modern subject, modernity, language of art.
