Two Hundred Years of the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw
The publication is the first such extensive study of the history of the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw, which in 2025 celebrates its 200th anniversary. It is divided into two main parts: it shows both the history of the Observatory and the people who created and developed it. Owing to the wealth of sources, archival documents, memoirs and iconographic materials, the book allows to fully understand the role this institution played in Polish and world science.
