Non-state Actors of Faith-Based Diplomacy as Participants in Peace Processes in Africa. A Study of the Efficiency of Action
The presented publication analyses in detail the participation of non-state actors in faith-based diplomacy in peace processes with particular reference to the activities of the Community of Sant’ Egidio. The work contains systematic case studies comparing the activities of this movement with other actors of faith-based diplomacy. The author embeds the analysis within the framework of the science of international relations, turning to the political science of religion and research on peace and conflict resolution. He particularly emphasises the relationships between faith-based diplomacy and classic forms of diplomacy, pointing to their potential complementarity.
