The first Polish translation of Das kulturelle Gedächtnis. Schrift, Erinnerung und politische Identität in frühen Hochkulturen is a systematic lecture on memory as a cultural phenomenon, which enables such primary determinants as law, custom, the system of values to be formed. It also demonstrates a differential causal relationship between active reminiscence, forming collective identity and its political legitimising.
