Writing, text, literature. Writing practices of ancient Greeks and the matrix of European cultural memory
An attempt at interpreting the history of Greek culture according to the principles of media theory, of constructing local models of culture dynamics emerging under the influence of the means of communication, especially writing practices. The book upholds the theory that Greek writing constitutes a matrix of cultural memory for all of European culture, in line with the concept of Western culture originating to a great extent in antiquity.
