Hydrogeochemical Systems of Mountain Catchments of Different Lithology
The author’s concept of the hydrogeochemical system of the mountain catchment referring to the general mathematical theory of systems. The author characterizes the hydrogeochemical conditions of three catchments: of the Tatras, Pieniny and Podhale and describes the processes leading to the removal of rock mass dissolved in water from land areas taking into account a wide range of issues of hydrodynamics, hydrochemistry and mineralogy.

Modelowanie przepływu wód podziemnych w ujęciu systemowym w ostatnim dziesięcioleciu intensywnie się rozwinęło, czego nie można powiedzieć o systemowym ujęciu opisu hydrogeochemicznego. Monografia Szostakiewicz-Hołowni powinna wypełnić tę lukę, szczególnie dla obszarów górskich o stosunkowo słabym rozpoznaniu hydrogeologicznym.
