Referring to the classical philosophies of subjectivity (Descartes, Kant, Hegel, Schelling) as well as to the narratology, which has its origins in the so called narrative turn in the humanities, the author discusses contemporary conceptions of the narrative identity: hermeneutical (MacIntyre, Taylor, Ricoeur) and naturalistic (Dennett, Schechtman, DeGrazia).
Keywords: identity, subjectivity, subject, narrative, narratology, narrative identity.
