Lectures on Polish Verbal Aspect
The author describes various logical and linguistic oppositions which influence the choice between a perfective and imperfective verb, verb prefixes and aspectual classes. The description of events and the narrative are considered the main functions of the perfective aspect. The use of the imperfective aspect in legal texts, such as criminal-law codes, is also discussed in the work.
