The issue consists of articles representing various disciplines of contemporary humanities: cultural studies, literary studies, and linguistics. They are united by a common reflection on significant phenomena and important works of broadly understood modernity. The diversity of these phenomena and works corresponds to the multiplicity of methodological perspectives of their description, and modernity itself is revealed in all the dynamism and complexity of its worldviews and aesthetics, which are invoked and studied by the authors in different, often non-obvious, contextual fields.
