How to Write a Diploma Thesis. A Guide for Humanists

The first Polish translation of the book Come si fa una tesi di laurea. Le matera umanistiche, by Umberto Eco, a well-known writer, semiotician, aesthetician, and professor of Italian universities. This is a guide for graduate and doctoral students of humanities and social sciences, who are starting to write their BA, MA or PhD thesis. The author presents the subsequent stages of work: from the choice of a supervisor and the formulation of a topic, through collecting materials (archival and library queries, notes), drawing up a work plan, to the writing itself.
