Philosophy and Values III

A large part of this volume consists of articles, which the author considers to be journalistic – essays, interviews, letters. He refers in them to current issues, events and situations from the turn of the 20th century. The author argues that philosophy – as a “logically digested” way of thinking – has universal applications and is accessible to everyone.

Bogusław Wolniewicz (born in 1927 in Toruń, died in 2017 in Warsaw) – in the years 1947–1951 studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University under the direction of Tadeusz Czeżowski and Henryk Elzenberg, until 1953 an assistant in the Department of Logic of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, in the years 1954–1955 worker, librarian, translator, from 1956 a lecturer in logic and philosophy at the Pedagogical University in Gdańsk.

In 1962, doctorate at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, in 1963, transferred by Adam Schaff to the University of Warsaw, there in 1967 – assistant professor, in 1982 – associate professor, in 1990 – full professor, in 1969–1972 head of the Department of Philosophy of the University of Warsaw, in 1991–1999 he was the head of the Department of Philosophy of Religion at the University of Warsaw, retired in 1997, and removed from the university in June 1999 by the council of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology of the University of Warsaw.

In 1956–1981 a member of the Polish United Workers' Party, active until 1970, in 1967 lectures at the University of Chicago, in 1972 – at Temple University in Philadelphia, in 2004–2009 cooperation with Radio Maryja, numerous press and television appearances after 1989.
