Documentary coverage created in 1900 and 1901 by the journalist I. Chorosz (Jakub Perelman) who visited Jewish factories and workplaces and asked the workers about the work system, the fairness of the wages, the production technology and its efficiency, and the employment conditions. The texts are not only a good basis for finding out about the working and living conditions of the Jewish workers but also an interesting source for studying the economic history of the so-called Western guberniyas.
