Polish EU Terminology and “Brusselisms”. An Attempt at Systematization
An original attempt at systematizing the terminology used in official documents published in the Polish language by European Union institutions and the “brusselisms” forming in parallel – the equivalents of EU terms that appear in standard Polish. A corpus of EU terms has been used for the analysis of structural and semantic relations between the original words usually created in English and/or French and the neologisms coined in the Polish language as a receiver language.
Keywords: EU terminology, brusselisms, EU documents, European Union, European integration.
