The Local Philology – the Locality of a Philologist. Literary and Scientific Practice of Stefan Szymutko
The book is the first monograph on the works of Stefan Szymutko – a philologist and an essayist nominated for “Nike” Literary Award in 2001. The book aims to show and interpret an individual signature present in the works of the Silesian researcher and writer. The paramount problem of the publication is the reflection on the mechanisms of the literary history, which makes this work part of the debates in contemporary humanism such as those on the philological, archival, biographical turns and which also offers original methodological solutions.
