Critical thinking as the aim of education: The example of education system in the US and Canada
The author portrays the American and Canadian achievements in the area of teaching critical thinking, developing its definition and creating appropriate programs and methods of teaching. She shows the origins of the actions taken to promote critical thinking education, reaching as far back as the views of John Dewey. The author discusses theoretical concepts of critical thinking.
