Foundations of Music History
A methodological study presenting music historiography according to the concept of the links between the history of music and world history. The author considers the subject of changes (understood as works) which took place in the 20th century. The key issue in these deliberations is the role of interpretation in music history. The author refers to new methods of music historiography which emerged in the second half of the 20th century under the influence of literature studies and cultural anthropology.
